Stephen has shared his 6×9 O scale track plan.
You can see the picture’s of Stephen’s 6×9 O scale track plan here.
I know I keep saying it, but Stephen’s layout is yet another example of how a theme can truly elevate your model railroad.
But what’s even more interesting is Stephen’s approach to the hobby. He talks a lot about the learning curve, and he’s not afraid to admit his rookie mistakes. We’ve all been there – laying down track that doesn’t quite line up, or realizing a curve is too tight after the fact. But as Stephen says, that’s part of the journey. You learn by doing, and each little mistake teaches you something valuable. Like many of us, Stephen quickly learned how to minimize derailments, and now his trains run smoothly around his carefully planned curves.
What’s great about Stephen’s layout is that it’s not just about the trains. He’s taken the time to create a rich, detailed world with realistic scenery that tells a story.
The best part? Stephen’s layout is still evolving. He’s always thinking of ways to improve it, whether it’s tweaking a scene or refining the track plan. There’s no rush – he’s enjoying every step of the process. And like all of us, he’s already thinking about his next project, with all the lessons learned from this one.
