Let’s delve into Tom’s 3×5 N scale track plan.
You can see the picture’s of Tom’s 3×5 N scale track plan here.
Tom has been diligently working on this track plan for the past year. He’s been fully immersed in bringing his plan to life.
Tom’s been experimenting with woodland water to construct captivating rapids and a waterfall area. While most of his buildings are currently fashioned from card stock, he’s contemplating upgrading them for a sturdier frame.
One valuable lesson is the size of the curves. He’s now recognised that opting for curves track instead of bending their own would of been a wiser choice, especially considering the limitations imposed by the largest steam engine they can utilise, the 4-6-0. Despite its lightweight composition, this layout promises to offer an amazing journey.
The plan features a figure of 8 track formation with the tracks crossing over in the centre. A turn table is in the right loop and multiple sidings branch out from the centre.
There’s no hurry building layouts-you can go at your own pace. Many layouts take years to complete with trail and error.
Anyhow, back to Tom’s 3×5 track plan. This layout took time to complete but paid off because the finished product is amazing.
Here’s another N scale layout.
All the best
