What I like about Craig’s HO scale water scene is that it’s simple yet incredibly effective. The waterfront area, complete with a small harbour and a few boats, gives the layout a sense of depth and realism that makes it feel like a much more complex setup. But the truth is, it’s all about clever use of space and some well-placed water effects.
And the best part is, Craig has really made the scene his own. You know the saying, “My layout, my rules,” and Craig’s certainly embraced that. He’s added some unique touches, like a tiny fisherman casting his line off the dock and a playful seal popping its head out of the water. It’s those little details that make the scene stand out.
The harbour, with its gentle waves and reflective surface, adds a calm, peaceful vibe to the layout. It’s based on a fictional seaside town, and you can almost hear the seagulls and smell the salty air when you look at it.
